Born and raised in London, I have over 10 years’ experience as a fashion stylist and art director cross editorial and commercial platforms. I’m currently living in Amsterdam working as a freelance creative for various brands such as Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. My career began at Net-A-Porter magazine where I learned the ropes as a fashion assistant, before turning my hand to e-commerce for their online studio as a styling assistant. After that, I headed to Middle Eastern weekly Laha magazine where I found my feet producing shoots and working with leading fashion houses like Chanel and Christian Dior.
Since taking the leap into freelance life in 2011 I’ve gained plenty of experience, both in the studio and on the road. Working at renowned industry events like Vauxhall Fashion Scout, Clark’s Catwalk and Bath in Fashion, I’ve got stuck into everything from model casting and personal styling to overseeing crews of backstage dressers. My jam-packed portfolio now includes major commercials and campaigns, like Soap and Glory’s Christmas ‘Do a Doodle’ campaign and Sure for Comic Relief. Clients I’ve worked with along the way range from major fashion brands like Harvey Nichols, Joseph, Liberty and Selfridges, to lifestyle brands like The White Company and Marks & Spencer.
Editorially, I’ve been lucky enough to work on both print and digital, having styled shoots for titles including Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, The Sunday Times and Quintessentially, and celebrities like Katherine Jenkins OBE and the world’s oldest supermodel, Daphne Selfe (she was awesome). I’m experienced coming up with powerful visual concepts and social media strategies too, having spent time working with beauty e-commerce platform WhatsInMyHandbag at their head office.
As a firm believer that good style can be found anywhere – from the clothes we wear to the spaces we live in – my love of fashion, interiors and all things vintage has meant I’ve branched out into event and tablescape styling too. What initially began as wedding styling (I set up Beatnik Bride in 2018 after successfully styling a handful of special weddings) I now help clients discover and curate other events and spaces as well. From product launches and press events for Barry M, to pop-up shops for Amazon (it was the first of its kind, hosting trend discussions, yoga sessions and live music) if you need a room or event turned into something magical, I’m your girl.
